What is collected

If you read the site without an account, nothing about you is stored. There is no analytics script, no advertising, and no third-party tracker on these pages.

If you create an account, we store your username, your email address, a display name, your unit preference, and a hash of your password — never the password itself. If you sign in with Google we store the account identifier Google gives us, plus the email address and name on that account.

When you rate a recipe, mark one as made, or leave a note, that is stored against your account and shown publicly under your display name. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Cookies

One cookie, kc_session, which keeps you signed in. It holds a random value and nothing else. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Your theme and unit preferences are kept in your browser's local storage and never sent anywhere.

Other services

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests and may log IP addresses for security. Sign-up, sign-in and the contact form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Email is sent through Resend. Fonts are served by Google Fonts. Embedded videos are loaded from YouTube in no-cookie mode, and only on pages that have one.

What you can ask for

Write to hello@kennardcooks.com and we will send you everything held about your account, correct it, or delete it. We do not sell anything to anybody.

Age

You must be at least 13 to create an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that matters, the change will be announced on the site before it takes effect.
